Please check with your school before booking

Our dates come from council calendars, collected in the open Housemait UK school term dates dataset, licensed under CC BY 4.0. Councils can and do change their dates. Academies, free schools, faith and foundation schools often set their own dates, and every school sets its own INSET (training) days. Always check dates with your child's school before you book travel, pay for childcare or arrange time off. Term-time absence can lead to a fixed penalty notice.

1. About these terms

Half Term Planner is run by Grow Online Digital Ltd, trading as Half Term Planner, a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 14310212 ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. Contact: info@growonline.digital.

2. Using the site

3. Accuracy of information

We work hard to show the right dates and link every council page to the council's official calendar. But we provide the information for general guidance only, without any guarantee that it is complete, accurate or up to date. Where we can't confirm a council's dates, we say so and point you to the council. If you spot a mistake, please report it.

4. Holidays, bookings and other websites

We don't sell holidays. When you follow a link to a holiday company or any other site, your contract is with that company, on its terms. We don't control other websites and aren't responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. Some links are affiliate links: see our affiliate disclosure.

5. Our content and the data

The design, text and code of this site belong to us. The term date data is from the Housemait UK school term dates dataset, licensed under CC BY 4.0. We have changed its format, for example by working out holiday periods from term dates. You may reuse that data under the CC BY 4.0 licence, crediting Housemait.

6. Our liability to you

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited or excluded by law. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.

Apart from that, because the site is free and the dates are set by councils and schools, we are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from relying on information on the site. That includes:

If you use the site for business purposes, we are not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts or opportunity, or for any indirect or consequential loss.

7. Changes and availability

We may change, suspend or withdraw the site or any part of it at any time. We may update these terms, and the version on this page applies from the "last updated" date.

8. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
